This Privacy Policy explains what information BeBaazaar collects when you use the platform, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we collect
Account information such as your name, email address, and password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in plain text). Company and listing information you submit through a role application (manufacturer, exporter, marketer, importer, distributor), including business details, product data, and registration identifiers you choose to provide. RFQ details, contact-form messages, and sample requests you submit. Basic technical information such as your selected language and light/dark theme preference.
2. How we use it
To create and operate your account and listing; to run RFQ matching against relevant company profiles; to let our team review and approve listing applications before they go public; to respond to messages sent through the contact form; and to send you a one-time sign-in code by email when you use passwordless login.
3. Email and one-time codes
BeBaazaar sends transactional email — including sign-in codes — from our own mail server; we do not use a third-party email marketing or delivery service. A sign-in code is stored only as a one-way hash, expires after 10 minutes, and can be used once. We do not send marketing email.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use a single essential, httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in — no third-party advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser's local storage is used to remember your language and theme choice, and — if you are not signed in — a temporary list of favorites, comparisons, follows, and ratings, which is merged into your account automatically the first time you sign in and then cleared from local storage. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
5. Who can see your information
Information you include in a public listing (once approved) is visible to any visitor, by design — that is the purpose of a directory. Your account email and password are never shown publicly. RFQ details are shared with the manufacturers and matched partners relevant to that request. Our administrators can see pending listings, contact-form messages, and sample requests in order to moderate and respond to them.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
7. Data retention
We retain account and listing information for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to close your account, we will delete or anonymize personal information that is not needed for legal, security, or record-keeping purposes.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to close your account, at any time through the contact page.
9. Security
Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. The site is served over HTTPS. Outbound platform email is authenticated with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
10. Who this is for
BeBaazaar is a business-to-business platform and is not directed at, or knowingly used to collect information from, individuals under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will change the "last updated" date above when we do.
